Začátkem tohoto měsíce jsme spustili první podcast WBCSD pro cirkulární ekonomiku – Circular Views – jako médium, které poskytuje více poznatků v tomto prostoru prostřednictvím diskusí s obchodními vůdci ze společností v čele cirkulární cesty. Pro naši první epizodu jsme pozvali Roye Visserse z DSM, Haralda Teppera z Philips a Amelie Rouvin z Veolie, aby diskutovali o tom, jak je možné měřit oběžník na úrovni společnosti. Geneva, 8 December 2020 – Today, the Circular Economy program of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) launches the Circular Views. Circular Views is the podcast series to learn about the circular economy.

As the momentum around the circular economy continues to grow, more and more companies become interested in how they can start their journey. Though the business opportunity and the positive environmental impact of the circular economy is increasingly evident, much of the material available remains highly theoretical. We imagined the Circular Views as a medium to provide more insights in this space through discussions with business leaders from companies at the forefront of the circular journey.

For the first episode, we invited Roy Vissers from DSM, Harald Tepper from Philips and Amelie Rouvin from Veolia, all members of the circular metrics project to discuss how it is possible to measure circularity at the company level. Why it is important to find a common language, what are the industry specific challenges they encountered measuring their circularity? At the same time, they shared their experience in using the Circular Transition Indicators (CTI), a framework built by business, for business that provides companies with a common language to use for internal decision-making and communicating to key stakeholders.
