Q. What are the key drivers for investors to address climate change?

Climate change is increasingly recognised as a key risk to investors not only in the long term but also in the short term. Companies are already facing both physical impacts such as water shortages and hurricane damage, and transition risks such as growing carbon regulations or reduced fossil fuel demand. In addition, there has been growing pressure for investors to address climate change. Since 2014 and the Montreal Pledge, we have seen various initiatives including regulatory ones like Mandatory reporting in France or the EU Sustainable Action plan pushing for investors to take action on climate.
